Squire Boone Caverns (15 mi.)
Glimpse millions of years in one moment as you gaze at dazzling cave formations and underground waterfalls.  The same caverns discovered by Squire and Daniel Boone two centuries ago are now accessible via lighted walkways.  It is located across the bridge in Indiana about a 15 minute drive from Doe Run Inn. Squire Boone caverns are open every day from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, and only on the weekends the rest of the year.

Patton Museum (15 mi.)
The Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor was established in 1949 to preserve historical materials relating to Mechanized Cavalry and Armor and to make these properties available to Armor soldiers and for public exhibit and research. It is located at Fort Knox, Ky and is about a 15 minute drive from Doe Run Inn. The Museum is open all year round.

Otter Creek Park (8 mi.)
Otter Creek’s 2,600 acres will be run by the Kentucky Fish and Wildlif Commission. They plan to reopen the park in late Spring or early summer 2011. The park is located approximately 10 miles from Doe Run Inn on Hwy-1638. Commissioner Jon Gassett said Kentucky Fish and Wildlife plans to reopen Otter Creek in 2011 with user fees offsetting operational costs. Activities at the park will include: picnicking, hiking, bird watching, fishing, hunting, camping, horseback riding and mountain biking.
